Group Call
Groupcall PaperWork is an online communication system which will be implemented by Park View from October 2016.
This new tool will improve the communication link between our school and parent/carers where letters, forms and permission slips will be forwarded via email. This system will also allow parent and carers to reply to received mail. This will consequently eliminate costs for the school and implement a more efficient home-school link.
In order to ensure all parent and carers are notified and kept up to date with the latest information with regards to their child and school, Park View will require contact information such as an email address. For those who do not have an email address, Groupcall will notify the school and the letter would be posted home as an alternative form of communication.
ESOL Qualification for Parents
Edexcel ESOL Qualifications for Parents/Carers
The EMA team at Park View offers free ESOL classes to parents/carers who are either new to English or at an intermediate level.
The course enables them to gain speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English, with the option of sitting either the Entry 1 or Entry 2 exam papers at the end of the course and thus obtain an Edexcel ESOL qualification.
The classes are run every Wednesday 17.00 – 18.30 for a period of 18 weeks. Regular attendance is very important, particularly for those who intend to sit the examination and thus obtain the qualification.
For the past two years, we have had 100% pass rates amongst the parents who opted to undertake both the Entry 1 and Entry 2 examinations. The key to their success has been their commitment to the course, their regular attendance and the fantastic all around support they have received from their teachers.
The course will resume in September 2019. The parents who have successfully passed Entry 2 will continue to study towards securing Entry 3 next year, which also constitutes a national requirement for those who wish to undertake their citizenship test.
We are also currently recruiting parents who are new to English for our Entry 1 class as well as any new parents who wish to sign up for the more advanced Entry 3 class.
If you are interested in joining either of our Entry 1 or Entry 3 classes or you would like further information, please contact:
