Head of Computing

Salary: Inner London Pay Scale + TLR 2B Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: January 2025

We are looking for an exceptional teacher and leader to join our dynamic school community as Head of Computing. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey within a diverse and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be committed to inspiring students to excel in Computing and fostering a love for learning across the school.

As Head of Computing, you will work within a collaborative and innovative department, with a focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. You will have a strong understanding of the Computing curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and play a vital role in curriculum planning and development.

We strive for excellence in every aspect of our work, with student progress and achievement at the forefront of all that we do.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the Computing department.

· Deliver outstanding lessons that engage and challenge all students.

· Contribute to the planning and development of the Computing curriculum at KS3 and KS4.

· Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.

· Foster a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

· Have excellent subject knowledge and experience in teaching Computing.

· Be passionate about education and committed to student progress.

· Demonstrate leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and support both staff and students.

· Have a solid understanding of the Computing curriculum at KS3 and KS4.
